Questions, answered.
The short version of what people ask us most.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Every feature is free for 48 hours, no card needed.
What's the difference between Pro and Classic?
Pro is NotchNook rebuilt from the ground up. It does everything Classic does, plus the Liquid Glass notch (the classic black look is still there if you prefer it), Pocket and Clipboard, many more Live Activities, a file converter, song lyrics, Pomodoro and To-dos, approvals for your AI agents, a teleprompter and a terminal. Classic is the original NotchNook: media controls, Calendar, Nook widgets and the file Tray, and it also runs on Intel Macs. Both have a 48-hour free trial, cover up to 2 Macs and keep getting updates.
See Pro and Classic side by side →Does it work on my Mac?
Pro requires Apple silicon and macOS 14.6 or later. Classic also supports Intel Macs with macOS 14.6 or later.
Does my Mac need a notch?
No. On screens without a notch, a small handle at the top opens the same Nook. Each display gets its own.
Which music apps work with it?
Spotify, Apple Music and any other app macOS shows as Now Playing. If two are playing, you choose which one the Nook follows.
Does it work with Google Calendar?
Yes, through the Mac's Calendar app. Add your Google account there and your events show up in the Nook.
What permissions does it ask for, and what happens to my data?
NotchNook asks for a few macOS permissions, only for the features that need them, like Calendar for your events or the camera for the mirror. You decide what to allow, and anything you skip just leaves that feature off. Your notes, files and camera content stay on your Mac. Purchase and license data are processed to handle payments, activation and recovery, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Are updates included?
Yes. As long as your license is active, every update comes at no extra cost: forever with a lifetime license, and for as long as you're subscribed with a monthly plan.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, on your own, anytime. Open the billing page, sign in with the email you used to buy and cancel in the secure Stripe portal. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. If anything goes wrong, write to support@getnotchnook.com.
Manage subscription →Can I get a refund?
For new NotchNook Classic or Pro purchases directly through Stripe under these Terms, you may request a full refund within 7 days by emailing support@getnotchnook.com. Refunds go to the original payment method and cancel the corresponding license. Purchases made under an earlier refund promise retain that promise. Paddle purchases follow Paddle’s applicable refund policy, including any longer period, and mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.
Pro and Classic use separate licenses. A Classic key does not activate Pro, and buying Pro does not cancel an existing Classic subscription.
